Inspired by the constellation Ursa Major that points to the North Star, we help our clients envision where they want to go and chart the optimal course to get there. We approach each business challenge as an expedition itself, a “journey undertaken by a group of people with a definite objective.”

Ursa Major was established as a consultancy in 2001 by John Callan and Mike Comstock.  As air courier industry pioneers, they each traveled highly successful career paths from the emergence of that innovative international document delivery phenomenon well into the maturation of the comprehensive global express logistics ecosystem. In founding Ursa Major, they saw an opportunity to share their entrepreneurial passion for business growth, well-honed operating skills and comprehensive postal – parcel – express – delivery expertise with client firms of all sizes and stages.

A decade hence, Ursa Major comprises a virtual constellation of stars. We have assembled a flexible cadre of proven subject matter experts to meet the distinct and varied needs of our clients. Each Ursa Major consultant brings a unique set of qualifications and skills crafted over many years of service for leading corporations, postal services, venture backed start-ups and/or disciplined management consultancies.
